The Role
As Business Development Manager you will be charged with sales of a unique and innovative, market leading and award winning GIS software solution, comprising spatial data management, data validation, data accuracy and data updates. You will be vertically focussed, targeting either Central Government, Utilities and National Mapping Agencies, focussing on generating new business and also managing accounts, focussing on building long term relationships with your clients. Sales cycles are typically over 6 months long with deal sizes over 100k in size, with large deals reaching the 2-3m mark.

The Candidate
The Business Development Manager must have previous experience and a successful, proven track record within the GIS software industry. Ideally you will have extensive experience in a specific vertical sectors, either Central Government, Utilities or National mapping Agencies. You will be covering a Worldwide territory, targeting Multinational companies. You will an autonomous and experienced salesperson who is used to developing long last relationships with your clients, whilst having a hunter mentality, focussing on generating new business and bringing on new logo clients. You will be based in the UK but will be used to extensive travel, selling across the World.

The Package
As Business Development Manager you will be rewarded with a basic salary of between 40,000 - 80,000, negotiable based on previous experience, with a generous, phone and pension.
