Systems Engineer

A market leader in the design and development of fluid management and electronic control systems for aerospace markets developed through innovative solutions, premier customer service, and profitable growth is currently looking for a Systems Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience; however exceptional graduates in Aerospace Systems or Systems Engineering would be considered.

The company's small Systems Engineering Team in Bristol is responsible for the system level definition and, as such, works face to face with our customer. The small team environment allows us to provide a broad range of experience for all the team in a comfortable and open working environment. Our team has progressively grown over the last 14 years and is now involved in a wide range of engineering projects including I, R & D activities. We are looking, once again, to add talent and enthusiasm to our team.

Description of role

Assists with System requirements definition, trade-off and optimization. Actively participates in development, allocation and validation of system derived requirements. Experience of the systems engineering development lifecycle. Has the ability to analyse the temporal and spatial requirements of a real-time system. Proficient in the creation of systems architectures, performance of trade-off studies and prototyping.

Must be able to work with internal and external customers to gather and analyse system requirements. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Key tasks:

Requirement capture and analysis.
Assists in architecture definition
Define and document system requirements and descriptions.
Perform System Requirements Validation.
Interface with customer at a working level.
Organize and plan work tasks
Understands document configuration and management.
Test and debug system functions using test equipment.
Clearly document all phases of system development using various tools.
Understand the concepts of Validation and Verification and their application.
Perform Rig, Ground & Flight Test Data Analysis and reports.

Due to the nature of the team, occasional travel will be required within Europe and the US.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BS) or Master's degree (MS) in systems, aerospace or aerospace systems engineering. New graduate or recent graduate with around two years or more relevant experience.
